Pau Pilau Bins
Terms & Conditions of Service
Thank you for choosing Pau Pilau Bins. These Terms & Conditions establish the policies, responsibilities, and expectations applicable to all services provided by Pau Pilau Bins.
By purchasing, scheduling, subscribing to, or receiving services from Pau Pilau Bins, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Services Provided
Pau Pilau Bins provides professional curbside residential trash bin cleaning services, including high-pressure washing, sanitizing, and deodorizing of eligible waste containers.
Our goal is to provide customers with a cleaner, fresher, and more sanitary waste container. Cleaning results may vary depending on the age, condition, material, prior use, and level of contamination of each bin.
Pau Pilau Bins reserves the right to determine whether a bin is suitable for cleaning based on its condition, contents, accessibility, and safety considerations.
2. Cleaning Results Disclaimer
Pau Pilau Bins will make every reasonable effort to thoroughly clean each eligible bin. However, complete removal of all stains, discoloration, odors, residue, grease, or buildup is not guaranteed.
Certain conditions may not be fully removable, including but not limited to:
• Permanent staining or discoloration
• Long-term residue or buildup
• Grease, food residue, or organic matter
• Chemicals, paint, or other substances
• Odors absorbed into plastic materials
• Mold, mildew, or other staining
• Damage, deterioration, or aging of the bin
• Pre-existing contamination or residue
Each bin is different, and final cleaning results depend on the condition of the bin before service.
A cleaning service is intended to clean and sanitize the bin to the extent reasonably possible; it does not guarantee that the bin will look new or that all stains, odors, or discoloration will be eliminated.
3. Bin Access & Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their bins are properly prepared and accessible on the scheduled service day.
Before service, bins must:
• Be placed in the designated service location
• Be empty of household trash
• Contain no remaining liquids
• Contain no personal belongings
• Be reasonably accessible to our cleaning equipment
• Be free of hazardous or prohibited materials
Pau Pilau Bins does not remove, empty, sort, or dispose of household trash or other materials from customer bins.
Customers are responsible for properly disposing of all waste before service and for complying with applicable waste-disposal requirements.
If a bin cannot be serviced because of customer-related circumstances, a trip fee or no-access fee may apply.
A service appointment may be considered completed if Pau Pilau Bins arrives at the scheduled location but is unable to perform the cleaning due to circumstances outside of our control, including but not limited to:
• The bin was not placed out for service
• The bin was inaccessible
• The service area was blocked
• The bin contains trash or liquids
• The bin contains prohibited or hazardous materials
• Unsafe conditions prevent service
• The bin is damaged or otherwise unsuitable for cleaning
Completed service appointments are not eligible for refunds or credits.
4. Hazardous, Prohibited & Contaminated Materials
Customers are responsible for ensuring that bins presented for cleaning are free of hazardous, dangerous, prohibited, or unsafe materials and substances. Pau Pilau Bins will not clean a bin that contains, or has visible residue or contamination from, hazardous or prohibited materials.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
• Gasoline, diesel, fuel, or other petroleum products
• Motor oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze, or other automotive fluids
• Batteries, battery acid, or battery-related chemicals
• Paint, solvents, thinners, adhesives, or flammable chemicals
• Pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, or other agricultural chemicals
• Toxic, corrosive, reactive, or flammable substances
• Medical, biological, or potentially infectious waste
• Needles, syringes, sharps, or other dangerous objects
• Chemicals or substances that may pose a risk to people, equipment, wastewater systems, or the environment
• Any material that is prohibited from disposal in residential waste containers
• Any material or substance that is otherwise regulated or restricted under applicable federal, State of Hawaii, or City and County of Honolulu requirements
The hazardous material does not have to be present at the time of service for this provision to apply. If a hazardous substance has been removed but has left behind visible residue, liquid, chemical contamination, or other evidence of potential hazardous contamination, Pau Pilau Bins may refuse to service the bin.
Pau Pilau Bins reserves the right to inspect a bin before or during service and to refuse, stop, or cancel service whenever our team reasonably believes that cleaning the bin could create a health, safety, environmental, equipment, or wastewater-disposal risk.
Pau Pilau Bins will not remove, handle, transport, or dispose of hazardous materials on behalf of the customer.
If service is refused or cannot be completed because of hazardous, prohibited, or contaminated materials, the appointment may be treated as a completed service appointment for purposes of applicable cancellation, subscription, or minimum-service requirements. Customers are solely responsible for properly removing and disposing of hazardous or prohibited materials through an appropriate disposal method before requesting service.
5. Subscription Plans & Minimum Service Commitment
Recurring subscription plans require a minimum commitment of two completed service visits, unless otherwise stated for a specific promotional offer or service plan.
Customers who cancel a subscription before completing the minimum required service visits remain responsible for the remaining required visit(s) according to their selected service plan.
For example, if a customer enrolls in a quarterly subscription and cancels after the first completed cleaning, the customer remains responsible for the second required service visit.
If a scheduled service is considered completed because of customer-related circumstances, including but not limited to inaccessible bins, bins not being placed out for service, blocked access, or prohibited or hazardous materials, that visit will count toward the customer's minimum service commitment.
Subscription plans automatically renew according to the applicable billing schedule until canceled.
Customers are responsible for canceling future services before the applicable renewal or billing date.
6. Prepaid Plans
Prepaid service plans must be paid in full at the time of purchase and may automatically renew according to the applicable plan unless canceled before the renewal date.
Prepaid plans are non-refundable once purchased or once service has begun, except where otherwise required by applicable law or expressly approved by Pau Pilau Bins.
Customers may cancel future automatic renewals before the applicable renewal or billing date.
Cancellation of a future renewal does not entitle the customer to a refund for services already purchased or completed.
7. Payments, Billing & Refunds
Customers authorize Pau Pilau Bins to charge the payment method provided according to the selected service plan, subscription, or individual service.Customers are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method and ensuring that applicable payments are successfully processed.
No refunds will be issued for completed services. If a customer has a concern regarding the quality of a completed service, the customer should contact Pau Pilau Bins promptly so the concern can be reviewed and, when appropriate, a reasonable resolution can be considered.
Refunds, credits, or additional services are provided at the discretion of Pau Pilau Bins unless otherwise required by applicable law.
